Orange Iris

Here is yet another beautiful flower in my parents' yard...

Picnic Time!

One of the girls' favorite activities is eating lunch outside.  If the weather is nice, we will spread a blanket on the deck and enjoy our meal in the sun!

Go Fly a Kite

Tuesday was so windy!!  We decided it would be a good day to let Leah try out her new kite.  Craig ended up doing much of the kite flying because the wind was too strong for Leah.

A Few More Easter Photos

Camp Minnie-Papa

Leah was out of preschool all last week for spring break.  On Wednesday, she spent the morning at "Camp Minnie-Papa." She was able to participate in several activities, such as....

Gardening and flower identification

Scouting and sightseeing (Anna was along for the ride)

Baking and eating cookies

Thanks Papa, Minnie and Aunt Meredith for providing some fun activities for Leah!

Spectacular!

This is a Lady Banks rose bush at my parents' house.  It is covered in blooms and really beautiful.

The Girls' Dresses

This year, I made these Easter dresses for my daughters.

Easter

He is Risen!  Our family had a very nice Easter and we hope yours did, as well.  We started off the morning by checking out what treats were left in the girls' baskets.

We had breakfast, got dressed in our finest Easter attire and headed to church to celebrate our risen Savior!
After church, we had lunch at Minnie and Papa's.  Ya-Ya came up to eat with us.  We spent a lot of time outside in the gorgeous weather.

Egg Hunt!

Craig had to work this past Saturday, so Leah and I attended an Easter egg hunt at a local church.  Minnie, Papa, and Meredith were kind enough to keep Anna for the morning so Leah and I could have a mommy/Leah date.

We had a really great time.  Leah found plenty of eggs and each one had a special sweet treat in it.
Our firstborn is growing so quickly.  She surprises me each day with her depth of understanding and knowledge.  Leah is a smart little girl and such a blessing to us!

Easter Egg-stravaganza!

Tonight we helped Leah dye Easter eggs.  She did a really good job!

Anna sat patiently in her high chair.  I asked her for a big smile, and this is what I got...

The finished product...

While the cat's away (at preschool)....

Anna gets to eat her snack on her blanket and watch what she wants on TV!!

Before School

In the mornings before I take Leah to school, the girls play together.  This particular morning they were playing with a small bouncy ball.  Leah would throw it from one end of the living room to the other and both of them would take off running to see who could get it first.
 .
One small problem...it kept rolling under the furniture.
