Dirt Can't Hurt!

Since we've fenced in our backyard, there are some ditches that need to be leveled up.  Papa brought us several loads of dirt to fill in these places.  The ladies have been playing on these dirt piles.  There is also a video below of Anna sitting on the dirt pile, throwing dirt.  It takes an interesting turn....make sure your sound is turned up so you can hear what's going on in it.  It's pretty funny.

Happy Birthday Minnie!

Wednesday, May 30th was my Mom's birthday.  We celebrated with the family that evening with cake and gifts.  We pray Minnie has many, many more happy birthdays!

P.S.....This is the cake I made. It's called Mandarin Orange cake and it is DELICIOUS! Super easy and really yummy!

Our New Addition!

....calm down everyone, it's just a fish. Craig and I allowed Leah to pick a pet fish for her birthday. She picked this red Betta and named him "Airplane."   Welcome to the family, Airplane!

Leah's Candy Necklace

Leah received a candy necklace as a gift.  She's been working on it a little each day...we are currently on day 4.

Memorial Day Festivities

Sunday afternoon, Mom's family came up to my parents' house for a pig pickin'. Dad cooked three pork shoulders and we had all the normal barbeque fixins. Since we still had the water slide, Leah and her cousin got to play on it some more...and so did Craig. 

My girls have such a good Daddy. 

The fishing was not great that day, but it didn't stop anyone from trying!

Happy 3rd Birthday Leah & Happy 24th Birthday Aunt Meredith!

Saturday, we celebrated Leah's 3rd birthday with a Splash Bash party.  Several of her preschool friends came to play on the huge inflatable water slide we rented for the weekend.  We are so thankful for the 3 healthy years Leah's had on this Earth and we pray she has many many more!  My sister, Meredith, and Leah share the same birthday, May 28th!

We decided to put out another pool so the kids could spread out a little.  They are patiently waiting for it to fill up.

Visit To Siler City

Today we went to Siler City to visit Nana and Papa George.  We had lunch, played in the yard, and looked at all of Nana's neat flowers and plants.

Granny's Birthday

Craig's grandmother, Mary, turned 77 years old on May 5th.  We had a birthday cook out to celebrate.  The girls always enjoy going to Granny and Pawpaw's house and playing with Casper the dog.  Here are a few photos of the event. 

The baby is Ethan, Craig's cousin's son. He is 6 weeks old. Anna was amazed by this baby and was never more than a few feet from him. She kept saying "baaaaayby".

Field Trip

Today, Leah and I went on a field trip with her preschool to a local ranch.  We had a great time riding horses, playing in the sand and on the playground, and learning about how to care for a horse.  She even got a prize from the staff for her participation!  What a great day!
