That's Some Spider!
Hot Wheels
Aunt Leslie and Uncle Tommy sent Leah this new tricycle to play with at Papa and Minnie's house. It's a Hot Wheels one and it plays music, the lights flash, it revvs the motor...it's awesome. We can't get Leah's tushy off of it when we go to Minnie's house now. Leah especially had fun trying to run over Papa and Minnie's dog Lilly. The following photo cracks me up...it's like you can hear Lilly saying "Oh crap, here she comes."
Priceless.
Sorry It's Been So Quiet
I apologize for the lack of blog posts and pictures. It has been really busy around here. Leah had her open house for preschool yesterday and I think she is really going to enjoy getting back into her routine. Summer is fun, but our family thrives on routines and familiar schedules. Summer seems to be anti-schedule and a big ol' free-for-all.
I promise more posts are on the way...

A Little End of Summer Swimming
You know you live in the country when the chickens are curious about the pool. Leah had fun trying to throw water on them.
Such a silly girl.

Anna is 7 Months Old!
(Here's a really short video of Anna)
Sweet little Anna is 7 months old now! Time is really flying by. She has several new skills like clapping and saying "yaaay!" I expect in the next few weeks she will start to crawl. She is highly mobile even though she doesn't officially crawl yet... she can roll all over the room and get anything she wants. I have heard her say "da da" several times, but never can get to say it when Craig's around...of course.
Swim Lessons
We are so thankful that Ya-Ya offered to take Leah to swim lessons at the YMCA. Leah loves swimming and it's important that she know how to be safe around water. Friday was her first lesson and she did swimmingly (pun intended). Craig was off work that day, so he was able to go with us to watch.
Making Cupcakes at Minnie's
Gammie and Papa watched the girls last Saturday night so Craig and I could go on a date. Leah and Anna were in bed when we got home and the next morning, Leah got up and said "I need to go make cupcakes at Minnie's house." She was so adament about this, that I called Mom and asked if she had promised Leah that they would make cupcakes. Mom was shocked (didn't think Leah would remember) and said yes, that she had mentioned to Leah that she could come over to make cupcakes soon like the ones in a bedtime story they had read the night before. So over to Minnie's we went...
